A husband had to repay the entire dowry according to the terms of his marriage contract if his wife died during his lifetime without children. Now the wife died in childbirth after the birth of a fully carried child, three days later her father died without other descendants than the newborn. The child fell from the roof on the 9th day after his birth and died. Abraham da Costa Abendana awards the husband both the dowry and the inheritance of the father-in-law, bypassing his siblings.
