Hirsch Summary
A left behind three minor sons: B, C, and D. According to his will, the widow became their guardian and managed the estate. When the eldest son, B, got married, he received 5,000 florins from his inheritance, which would be offset during the eventual division of the estate when C and D reached adulthood. Unfortunately, B died before this division. His widow wanted to claim her ketubah from the estate. C and D argued that they should each receive 5,000 florins first. The widow of B might even need to pay back some amount if each of them received less than 5,000 florins from the estate. .
