Hirsch Summary
There was a dispute between a husband and wife on two points:1. The wife had inherited real estate and movable property from her mother. She claimed that the movable property had been promised to her daughter. The husband denied that the wife could make legally significant declarations regarding this matter. 2. Since the husband was unable to provide a suitable dowry for their daughter, the wife wanted to receive 10,000 florins from her own dowry, in exchange for a receipt. However, the husband was only willing to pay 5,000 florins. Moses ben David Rodriguez Lopez ruled that in the first case, the wife's statement was not considered binding. In the second case, he ruled against her claim as well.
