Question Full
A person in a village around Chanuka sends 10 geese to the Shochet in a city to be slaughtered and to prepare for them fat for Passover. And by accident one of the geese chocked in the bag. The Shochet properly slaughtered 8 of the birds, and cut the head of the dead bird with a knife to let out the blood and so it can be sold to non-Jews, and another bird was slaughtered with a knife that had not be checked. And because the Shochet was in a big hurry that day he forgot to inform the person about the two birds (i.e. the choked bird, and the one slaughtered with a knife not checked). And the family of the person did not know anything about this and went ahead and salted and rinsed all the 10 birds together with other meat prepared for Passover. And some of the birds were already eaten before Passover, and some they left for the holiday mixed up with other meat ready for Passover, and the fat they set aside for Passover. After some weeks the Shochet came to visit the person and in passing mentioned that two of the birds were not Kosher. And the person and the family were shocked to hear this, and to increase the tragedy they found a needle in the flesh of one of the geese, and now the questions are: a. What to do with the fat, especially because there is no other fat available for Passover. b. what to do with the mixture of meat that includes the geese, c. what to do with the pots.
