A man forgot to sell his chamets before Passover, but declared it dust. After Passover the chamets is exchanged. Is it permissible to eat or sell?

A man forgot to sell his chamets the day before Passover, but he did annul it as most people do. After Passover he exchanged his chamets with that belonging to a non-jew. He now wants to know if the exchanged chamets is permissible for him to eat or sell.
