Hirsch Summary
An inquiry by Eliezer Zacuto: At a wedding on the eve of a festival, the father of the groom died after the Ketubah was read and the seven blessings of the wedding were recited. It is asked how the groom should observe mourning practices. David ben Raphael Meldola decides that since the wedding week coincides with the festival week, the mourning week begins after the festival. Also, the 30 days of mourning begin from then. The marriage can only be consummated after the mourning week. Finally, Meldola announces that his son Abraham is now publishing the rest of the book "Darkei David" (4 parts), as he mentioned in No. 714. He praises his son for adding much more on his own. [It is interesting to note that Benjacob S. 119, 2nd column above, accuses Abraham Meldola of plagiarism from Moses Mendelssohn. I leave the response to this to more qualified individuals.]
