Hirsch Summary
A wanted to buy wool from B and asked to see a sample first. B sent him to C, where A saw the wool that C supposedly bought from B at the price B had quoted to A. After A purchased the wool from B, it later came to light during a lawsuit that C had never bought anything from B but had instead engaged in a business arrangement with A under false pretenses. A then requested a price reduction. Jacob ben Salomo de Meza ruled that since A had not yet paid, he could deduct any excess price from the purchase price even after some time had passed.
