Hirsch Summary
Someone in his youth had resolved to go to Palestine and dedicate himself to Torah study in Jerusalem. Initially, his parents prevented him because he was their only son and still unmarried. After his parents' death - after 12 years - he got married. After some years, he wished to move to Jerusalem, but upon his wife's request, postponed the journey for another 5 years, then on the request of both his wife and mother-in-law, postponed it for 2 more years. When his wife still refused, he inquired whether he could compel her to accompany him. David ben Raphael Meldola decides that if his wife persists in her refusal, the man can divorce her by paying her Ketubah.
