Hirsch Summary
A wanted to borrow 1,000 florins from B. Since B had no cash, he gave A a four percent government bond and told him that after a certain time, he should return this bond or another of equal value. Is this usury, and what about the coupons, even if the returned bond has an interest coupon due later than the coupon of the bond given by B? Salomo Jessurun decides that this is not usury, and the payment of the due coupons does not violate the Torah's prohibition on interest.
