Hirsch Summary
A woman who had lived chastely as a wife for ten years became mentally ill, wandered about, and openly engaged in relations with a non-Jew. When she recovered after two years, she regretted her actions. Is she allowed to live with her husband again? David ben Raphael Meldola decides that the woman may remain with her husband. He writes in the introduction to his decision that he has been promoted from the position of "third" to "second," directly behind the rector, in a solemn ceremony on the Sabbath Behaalothecha 5534 [?]. Furthermore, Meldola thanks God for restoring his eyesight, which he had almost completely lost, through a skilled doctor. He mourns the loss of his wife.
