Hirsch Summary
Someone sent a divorce decree to his wife through a messenger, which should be valid if he did not return within two years. The messenger was negligent. Meanwhile, news arrived that a ship with the husband had sunk. Can the divorce decree still be delivered? Moses ben David Rodrigues Lopes decides that the woman should not receive the letter, but she may marry an Israelite (as opposed to a Cohen).
