Someone wanted to borrow 10 bonds (200 fl. pieces of a state bond yielding 3% interest) from his friend to invest. Does this violate the Torah prohibition against interest? Abraham Raphael ben Chajim Albergue affirms this question and sees no way to make the loan permissible. [The date is indicated by the last verse of the Haftarah of the weekly portion, Malachi II, 7, which glorifies the Cohen, here referring to the Rector David a Cohen d'Azevedo.].
