Hirsch Summary
A purchased a gold vessel from B. While attempting to reshape and clean it, the vessel broke. It was then discovered that the vessel had a silver inlay. A wanted to either cancel the purchase or negotiate a lower price. B rejected both options, claiming that he had sold the vessel as gold, but due to his own doubts, he had given it away at a lower price. Ultimately, B could not be expected to take back the broken item. Moses Israel (not Alvares) ruled in favor of A.
