A woman brought a daughter into her second marriage. When the daughter married, she received half of the property her mother had brought into the marriage. The woman had no children in her second marriage. After her death, her heirs claimed half of the remaining property, while the husband wanted to keep the entire remainder, arguing that it only constituted half of the original property brought into the marriage. Abraham Fernandez ruled in favor of the husband.
