Hirsch Summary
A merchant in France wanted to send kosher wine in barrels, double-sealed. While preparing for shipment, one barrel burst, and a non-Jewish craftsman sealed the opening with his hand. Abraham Fernandez ruled that the merchant should sell the barrel at a price corresponding to the quantity of wine from the opening downwards, as the wine above the hole would be prohibited for any use.
