Hirsch Summary
Three friends-A, B, and C-borrowed 3,000 fl. from D under joint liability. When A passed away, D wanted to claim their share and A's share. B was willing to pay only their own portion and half of A's share. However, C refused to return half of A's share to B. Samuel ben Salomo a'Cathan rules that B must pay D according to the debt agreement, including A's owed portion. Additionally, C is obligated to pay half if the heirs of A do not reimburse B for A's debt. Refer to source 758.
