<text>Inquiry from David ben Abraham Franco Mendes: A insured a shipment, loaded onto a ship bound for the "Islands of the South," against the risk of piracy. The ship was captured by the people of the "King of the North" but freed itself during a storm and eventually arrived safely at its destination port. There, the goods were stored and sold. Later, the "King of the North" agreed with the "King of the South" that each party would receive what had once been their booty. As a result, A's people had to pay the equivalent of the goods sold at that time to the "King of the North." A demanded compensation from B based on the policy. Isaac Saruco rejected A's claim, stating that such a subsequently added legal provision did not fall under the conditions of the insurance, which only covered distress, piracy, etc.</text>
