<text>A community had imposed a tax on wine and other intoxicating beverages, payable at the time of purchase. The community had leased the right to collect the tax to A. Now it happened that B, in a bankruptcy proceeding in which he was a major creditor, had to take over a batch of spirits. He brought them to the aforementioned community where he resided. As Passover was approaching, he sold the alcohol because there might have been grain-based spirits among them. After the holiday, he repurchased the spirits. The tax lessee A now demanded the tax from him twice. B argued that it was only a sale for religious reasons, and he had also taken back the goods. Jacob ben David Fidanque decides that the tax lessee may demand the tax twice.</text>
