The community had leased the right to collect the tax to A. Now it happened that B, in a bankruptcy proceeding in which he was a major creditor, had to take over a batch of spirits. He brought them to the aforementioned community where he resided. As Passover was approaching, he sold the alcohol because there might have been grain-based spirits among them. After the holiday, he repurchased the spirits. The tax lessee A now demanded the tax from him twice. B argued that it was only a sale for religious reasons, and he had also taken back the goods. Jacob ben David Fidanque decides that the tax lessee may demand the tax twice.
