When the merchant wanted to collect his debts, it turned out that a debtor had sometimes paid against the return of his debt notes or against receipts from the employee, and at other times had paid without any documentation. These sums, which were only recorded in the debtor's book, the creditor wanted to collect again. Immanuel Oheb Abendana rules that the debtor should be bound by a ban (cherem) to tell the truth. If the debtor swears an oath, he is not required to pay again.
