<text>In a kingdom, there was a city that served as a refuge for all insolvent debtors. There were also nine Jews who all worked for a belt maker. This maker produced a certain type of belt, was a court supplier, and enjoyed the royal privilege that no one could copy this type of belt. Now, these belts were made of wool, silk, and linen interwoven and decorated with colors, etc. To better assess the work, the master allowed the Jewish workers to try on these belts. A Torah scholar who came into the shop to buy a different type of belt told the workers they were not allowed to temporarily put on these belts for work purposes. Joseph ben Moses Alvares decides that the workers may try on the belts. This opinion, originally due on the New Moon of Nisan, was only completed on the 15th of Iyar. (See also #13)</text>
