The questioner explains that although God had decreed that one tribe should remain with Judah (1 Kings 11:32), Benjamin had many connections to Israel and stood in contrast to Judah. For instance, Jeroboam, from the tribe of Ephraim, who had common ancestry with Benjamin, led Israel. Additionally, during the desert wanderings, the tribes of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Benjamin formed a strategic unity known as the "camp of Ephraim." Furthermore, two leaders from Benjamin, Shimei ben Gera and Sheba ben Bichri, led the rebellion against David and the tribe of Judah.
