<text>A Marrano from Portugal came to a Jewish community to be reaccepted into Judaism. However, there was no other Jew available to circumcise him except his own son. Can the son circumcise the father, or is this forbidden? There is a strict prohibition in the Torah against causing injury to one's parents [although this is waived for medical treatment. (See No. 67)]. Jacob ben David Fidanque also mentions another injunction, that the son should not see the father's shame; therefore, both should not bathe together unclothed. Nevertheless, Fidanque allows the son to perform the circumcision if there is no other mohel in town or within a distance of one- or two-days' journey. (see also 666)</text>
